I have been contemplating how I would fix our constitution or create a new government and how that might differ from how things are currently set up un the US. I have become increasingly aware of the horrific abuses that our federal government perpetrates on its people every single day with little or no consequenmces for those abusing us

Below are some ideals that would possibly curb the excesses of federal government, but I am not convinced that these alone would cure existing issues

  1. Term limits on every federally held position
  2. Expiration dates (No longer than 6 years) on every single piece of legislation [minus the constitution and the amendments [new amendments MUST be approved by 85-90% of the states]]
  3. New legislation may not exceed 3 pages written in 11 point font on 8.5" x 11" paper
  4. Federal budget MUST balance [income MUST match or exceed spending]
  5. NO branch may delegate its constitutional authority to another branch
  6. The government may not grant immunity to any non-individual (no more corporate immunity)
  7. Foreign entities may not own any property [meaning land, air, water or mineral rights] within the US or its territories.
  8. No government employee may pass rules or laws that they are not subject to (ie no more insider trading)
  9. a fourth branch of government whose only role is to adjudicate whether or not the other 3 branches are performing their duties as expressly defined in writing (no precedence or "interpretation". It must specifically state that they may or may not do something) and whose only power is to remove individuals who fail to act within the confines of their elected or appointed positions (no more agencies deciding whether or not they may choose to enforce a legally ratified law or statute)
  10. the ability to remove ANY individual from office should they fail to uphold their oath of office (at the federal, state and local level)
  11. ONLY legal citizens may vote!!! (this one should go without saying [I also like Tim Pool's proposal that if you accept government money while you are between 16 and 67 then you may no longer vote]

Well it's the end of an era. I have been a member of PayPal since 2002 [~20 years] but today I closed my account. Their terms of service finally violated my first amendment rights more than even I could tolerate.

Curious as to what pushed me over the edge? How's this for draconian punishment of "wrong think".
